A significant part of the operation of the 44th are those personnel who perform vital and specialist roles within the Regiment. Some of them hold military rank, others are supporters and family members of the soldiers. Wives, companions, children - all adding to the living history perspective and many, fulfilling practical roles to help the Regiment function.

The 44th have always extended a welcome to families, not just because we want then to share in our passion for the hobby, but because they too were apart of the regiments history, providing  support, whether the Regiment was at home or overseas - where  many were conscripted to travel with the troops.

We are always on the look out for anyone who would like to take on an appropriate role within the Regiment. Help is always needed in the transporting, setting up and breaking camp before and after events, we have a real need for an  officer's servant (To look after the Colonel) and any other role we feel appropriate to the Regiment.
